Adult film star Mia Khalifa recounts a “cringeworthy” attempt by Drake to slide into her DMs on Instagram.
Ever since “Lord Knows” came out, everyone’s known that Drake has a thing for “porn stars that [he’s] ashamed to mention,” but today we might have just gotten proof. Mia Khalifa (no relation to Wiz), who’s currently the most popular actress on Pornhub, has put out a pretty big hint that Drake was trying to contact her via Instagram.
In an interview with CBS Miami 560 WAM (which you can listen to below), Khalifa is asked if anyone famous has attempted to hit her up on social media, and after she refuses to give an actual name, she says it rhymes with “Rake.” The host makes it clear that he knows who she’s talking about, and Khalifa seems embarrassed that her thinly-veiled answer was so easy to guess (“I’m obviously really bad at this”). She goes on to suggest that he sent her a half-naked picture, and says, “It was so cringeworthy. The whole thing was cringeworthy.”
Khalifa calls Drake’s attempt at sliding into her DMs “flattering,” but says, “All I know is it’s not Eddie Vedder so I didn’t pay attention to it.”

Bobby Shmurda’s camp received some good news as it is being reported that one of the rapper’s gun cases will be dismissed in the coming weeks. Lupé Todd, Director of Communications at Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson office has confirmed with XXL that that the Brooklyn charges against Shmurda has been dropped and that, ongoing investigations continue.
The BK MC’s attorney, Howard Greenberg recently told Revolt that the case where Shmurda is alleged to have shot into a crowd outside a Brooklyn barbershop in June 2014 will no longer be on the list of allegations they will have to fight in court. “Brooklyn D.A. office announced that the gun case in Brooklyn will be dismissed in about two weeks,” said Greenberg. The GS9 front man was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in Brooklyn, according to court documents. “It’s just a matter of the D.A. office formally stating [the dismissal] on the record,” Greenberg confirmed with XXL.
As previously reported, Shmurda and his GS9 were arrested in December and charged with nearly 70 crimes including murder, conspiracy and gun possession. Shmurda, born, Ackquille Pollard is currently being held in Riker’s Island on a$2 million bail. He is still facing charges in Manhattan and has an upcoming status conference set for Jan. 29. “The intermediate plan is if there is a superseding indictment on the 29th is to enter a plea of not guilty. The long term plan is to kick some ass and take no prisoners,” said Greenberg in a statement to XXL. The attorney has argued the charges against his client are baseless, claims the government hates rap and Shmurda and his crew were targeted. This is the second bit of good news, the rapper has recently received in his case. Back in December, it was reported the lyrics to the rapper’s song “Hot Nigga” would not be used as evidence in court.
Master P and Lil’ Wayne’s historic “Power” collaboration coincidentally came to fruition as the Cash Money rapper faces a split from his label of nearly 20 years. Creating a buzz in the streets, speculation began as to whether or not Weezy was looking to head to P’s No Limit imprint, but are the masses getting ahead of themselves? The No Limit head honcho discussed the possibility in a recent interview on Sway In The Morning.
“Anything is possible, but Wayne just making good music,” he said. “I rapped on his record, he rapped on this ‘Power’ record, we’re gonna build a relationship from there. However it goes, it’s all official over here.”
Noting that he was not worried about any backlash from Baby for collaborating with Wayne, Master P expressed respect for the Cash Money team. And while he left the prospect of signing the Young Money CEO open, he also showed faith in Weezy’s business savvy.
“I’m there for him, if that’s what he needs,” Master P said. “But I think he know what he’s doing with his situation. He’s been in this game a long time, he’s one of the best rappers in the world. I just appreciate me and him getting together.”
Watch Master P talk the possibility of signing Lil’ Wayne in the video below:
Old-school Philadelphia rapper Cool C, real name Christopher Douglass Roney, was set to be executed today.
However Cool C, best known for his 1988 hits “I Gotta Habit” and “Glamorous Life,” was saved by an emergency stay of execution courtesy of Judge L. Felipe Restrepo. This was the second time Cool C has been granted a stay; he was first supposed to be executed on March 9, 2006.
Cool C, who is 45, has spent the last 19 years in prison for shooting and killing female police officer Lauretha Vaird on January 2, 1996. (Interesting but sad fact: Vaird was the first Philadelphia female officer to be shot and killed on duty.)
On that fateful day, Roney, Ernest Canty, and Warren McGlone, who was also a rapper named Steady B, were robbing a bank when Vaird entered the scene. Cool C shot her, and the three men ran out of the bank. Canty and McGlone confessed to the crime, and they flipped on C.
Till this day, Cool C claims he’s innocent.
No time like the present! Ludacris could hardly wait to marry longtime love Eudoxie following his holiday proposal. Shortly after popping the question around Christmas, he surprised her with a spur-of-the-moment wedding, complete with a beautiful white dress.
The pic shows Eudoxie lying next to her new husband on a white couch and looking up at him lovingly. A white piano and a brightly lit Christmas tree can be seen in the background.
Luda’s rep confirms that he was married over the holidays, and the rapper himself announced the big news via Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 6, posting a photo of him and his bride on the day of their “I dos.”
Back when rapper 50 cent first came on the scene – he was known for causing controversy and violence. Last night, the top selling rapper was head lining NY’s HOT 97 SUMMER JAM concert. The concert was EPIC – 50 reunited with his old G-Unit members Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck. He also brought out his homies Fabolous, YG, Yo Gotti, and Nas.
But what really got people talking is what happened with rival rapper slow bucks. You see 50 and Slow Bucks were having a problem a couple of weeks ago, then Slow Bucks took it there. Slowbucks and Trav went on Instagram and put up a picture with 50′s son. If you recall, 50 doesn’t play when you bring his family into it.
Fast forward to last night. Someone told Slow Bucks that everything was Cool with him and 50, but nobody told that to 50’s homies. Cause when they saw him on stage, the homies beat the DOG SH*T outta dude – all while 50 and Fab were performing the song “Cuffing Season”. Later on in the night, you see 50 wearing Slow Bucks’ chain.
50 done brought that New York aggressive Ish back . . .
